Despite the amount of shit we encounter, u guys just shine through with ur awesome characters. U guys never fail to calm the nerves and give super duper good reassurance that things will be okay. Thank you for staying up with me the entire night (especially pri) and i love u guys a whole damn lot.

I stumbled upon my 21st bday video and cant help but tear whenever i hear daddy's speech,

i hate to rub this in, but ever since rit has left, the weather has been bee-yoo-ti-ful. The sun has finally come up and the temperature has been averaging around 10 degrees. Thank you winter for helping me realise how absolutely tortorous the cold can get! SPRING IS HERE!! Woohoo!

i realised how innovative i can get when i had to wash loads of my white clothing and had to find a place to hang them without getting them dirty again. Not bad.

Finally, the hermits are coming out of their shells. Hostel life is getting a wee bit more exciting with more 'girly' parties and guys trying to crash it.

it's gonna be an exciting weekend. we'll watch n see what happens.

actually, 2 of us are waiting for 2 other ppl to be done with their assignments before we start watchin a movie in the common area. if i wait any longer, i think im gonna fall asleep.

8.08.08- OLYMPICS! WooHoo!

1 more day till Rit arrives, 8 more days till mom's bday.

If there's one thing you should always remember its that you can NEVER run away from difficult, annoying, over-sensitive people. I don't think i mentioned this, but while in Melbourne i met the most difficult 51 year old woman, who had absolutely no clue on what it is to be aware of the feelings and emotions of people around her. Till today, i shudder to think of the words and statements that transpired between the both of us during the trip. I don't see why it's bothering me soo much till today, usually it wouldnt 'cos she doesnt play a significant role in my life. BUT she, she has really got me thinking over n over n over again on why she behaved the way she did. I've never thought of her as a horrible, mean, judgemental, sly, insensitive person. I've known her since i was what? 7 years old? I've always put her up there on the pedestal (and i had my reasons). I've always told my oldest brother to not be too quick to judge her (he's never liked her 'cos he's had his reasons, and NOW i see why), i guess i should not have been too quick to judge her myself. Sigh, i'll just wait for Rit to come down and let her be my voice of reason.

Ive been having weird-ass dreams man.

Anyway, I'm missing you people loads. and skinny, i was imagining u with ur teeth all done. You're gonna look gorgeous. i can't wait to visit my dentist when i get back. i could visit one here, but it just wouldnt be the same. haha.

what was i thinking?! why would starbucks even consider openin up 100 outlets in australia? we only have 84 outlets in the entire country and 61 have been closed down leaving 700 people unemployed. That makes more sense.please don't go around quoting my previous statistics, people will laugh at your face.


ANyway, we had the malaysian whatever festival yesterday. i have to say it was pretty good. food was EXCELLENT.

I was trying to focus on the Malaysia flag la.

Foooood Glorious Foood! We had Laksa, fried chicken wings, roti jela with mutton curry, beef briyani, satay, chendol and teh tarik. Oh! and keropok.TOTALLLLLY hit the right spot.

Hello, hello! seven days to go! SEVEN, seven, seven!
And Sam & Rit, enjoy day 2 in singfest. =)

They have closed down 400 (i think?) Starbucks outlets all around australia. Adelaide has 3 outlets n guess what? Yest, ALL 3 OUTLETS were closing down. I thought it was sunday, 3/08/2008 when they were gonna close the outlets down, but NNNnoooo it was yest! and THANKFULLY! i decided to go to rundle mall (which i dont usually do on a thursday). The queue at Starbucks was crazily long n there were cards n presents all around the shop n i decided to join the queue to have my LAST cup of signature hot chocolate (till i return to singapore in dec). not only was i served by a hot cashier boy, the hot chocolate was SIMPLY DIVINE.
SOB!

on a much brighter note, ive been playing frisbee (yes mom, with PROPER shoes) like MAD. there's a malaysian food carnival this sunday, yippee! (prob the closest i can get to singapore food) and...... my exams are over!! ok la, they've been over for quite long.

u noe 'cos exams r over n 'cos exercise has increased bloodflow to the brains, ive been doing quite a bit of thinking.
i'm 21 and everyone around me and close to me is turning 21 or over 21 and u can't help but notice the huge difference as compared to wht life was 1-2 yrs ago?
friends no longer take short trips to malaysia with dad and mom, we dont meet up for burgers/ice cream at macdonald's neither do we say "ok i gotta go bck by ten."
now it's europe/america/aust with the boyfriend or friends, meet-ups for drinks (namely alcohol or coffee) and "so who's place are we crashing tonight?"
and you start to see the personalities finally showing through. people starting to find themselves and being more confident of who n what they are. being more certain of what they want. its really exciting to see how things are changing. And i feel its for the better.
It does suck tht im gonna b missing n hv missed my frens' 21st bdays, especially the one's who celebrated my 21st with me. =(
will make it up to you guys.

Rit: We have 2 weeks to spend together, i will say all i need to say when u get here. Muacks!

Sam: Im soo happy u got ur bonus. im really missing u and u have no idea how many times, when im out shopping, i actually say to the ppl ard me "gosh, sam wld love this" not that i care that they dont know u (now they do). n someone sharing the same sentiments when i see sometime quirky yet cool.


Pri: I miss just saying the stupidest things to u. each and everytime we hang up after every phonecall, u make me feel like the happiest and luckiest girl to have such awesome friends like you. miss you darling. n good luck for the CTs.


Xx: you've been there for me answering all my emails promptly and u asked "wld u b there for ME?" The answer is a big, fat YES. every single step of the way. maybe not physically but emotionally and morally. i will definitely support you "through it all."

Fa: missing u loads monkey. appreciate how u never fail to ask me how im doing n always loosening me up when things start to get to my head. thnk u.
