Hello again, it's you and me, kinda always like it used to be
Sipping wine, killing time, trying to solve life's mysteries.
How's your life, it's been a while,God it's good to see you smile,

I see you reaching for your keys, looking for a reason not to leave.
If you go now, I'll understand, If you stay, hey, I got a plan
You wanna make a memory.

A friend of mine was telling me that he needs to fight with a dog to spend time with me and i tried explaining to him that he's not JUST a dog, he's soo much more than that.
i love him. i LOVE him.

Anyway my father has been tryin really hard to get me to eat my vitamins religiously. He feels that now, of all other times in my life, is when i need to take my vitamins cos of my work environment. He definitely has a point. But of course I, like soo many million other teens/young adults out there, think im immortal. Now its payback time. and i HAD to fall sick on a friday. of all amazing days.

This week was one heck of a emotional challenge for me. It started off with 2 "what the f$#% should i do?" moments which lasted well into mid-week. Poor work planning left me staying up till way, way past my bedtime so that really didn't help. I had a "presentation" on friday where the psychologist would come in to view the lesson, as simple as it sounds, its scary shit with a lot of analysis done by the psych. I wasn't prepared to get a two page essay (on what went wrong) AGAIN and worrying for that usually starts on Sunday nights. to top it all off, one of my kids got involved in a really unfortunate incident on thursday evening/night (day before psych analysis) and that totally threw me off balance.
On a much brighter note, both the what the f$#% moments are resolved, somewhat. I saw her emotional strength, finally, that's what i've known her for and his maturity. Lesson planning for next week starts TMR. NO MORE LATE NIGHTS. The eldest brother sent me the most amazing song that was soo apt for the situation that i was in (on monday night), it really pulled me through this week. Yesterday's psych analysis went superbly well with the psychologist saying "its perfect. I really wouldnt have done it any differently. Excellent." A group of 5 psychologists from Japan came down to my school and HOT japanese psychologist was spotted. and lastly, my darling kid is doing very, very fine. =)
By kid i mean STUDENT. dont get me wrong.
Sha, thank you for everything.

I'm sorry but I meant to say,
so many things along the way...
This one's for you.

and i realised (just when im running late for work and have to leave in ten mins) that the mysterious hot red shirt guy (at singfest) who was standing at the side of the stage watching The Academy Is and Gym Class Heroes(he is circled in RED)..........

.......Is none other than Nate Navarro. Drummer of Cobra Starship. Oooh boy, he's hot factor just upped by a million and one folds.

i realise that i feel really uneasy when people mis-spell the word "weird". why do they tend to spell it as wIErd? doesn't it look so wrong? it's WEIRD. 'e' before the 'i'. WEIRD.

We'll shake up this town,
And shoot down the stars for our enjoyment.
So sexy we are,
So sexy we are we just don't know it.
When everyone was getting all hyped up about celebrating National Day for the first time On the bay, Sam, Rit and I were getting absolutely BLOWN away by the Great music at Singfest 2007. So great that we even bought the T-shirts!
Gates opened at 1pm but we decided to go a couple of hours later 'cos we werent really keen on watching the first few bands (sorry), which were Great Spy Experiment, One Buck Short and Crowned King. However when we reached, One buck short were just getting off stage and Crowned King came on about 15 mins later.so we were a weeee bit early. Crowned King's performance wasn't too bad. it didn't make us wanna jump on our feet and rush to the front of the stage but it was easy listening.

Crowned King

Following that we had the best performers, in my opinion (Note: performers not performance).Cobra Starship, with their awesome songs and extremely charismatic frontman Gabe Saporta, sure gained a lot more fans from this event.

Cobra Starship

Next in the lineup was The Academy Is.. I love them, their music, their songs, their bassist (swoon!) and excellent drummer, EXCELLENT. Worth the listen, Highly recommended. I would have to say they were my top pick for the event. Go listen to their music if you havent, HIGHLY recommended.

The Academy Is..

Hot bassist, Adam Siska (in white) and awesome drummer (shirtless)

i think its real cute how Rit managed to get a pic of Gabe doing the Cobra Starship sign (or halfway there). He came out during TAI's performance to sing for a few seconds.

And then we had Gym Class Heroes. really awesome as well. okay, all the bands were really good. so i shall stop going on about how great each of them were and post pics.
Gym Class Heroes.

the band that got the loudest cheers, most supporters and one of the main reasons to why Rit and Sam were there.
Avenged Sevenfold. A7X!

following that there were the Noisettes and MxPx (another awesome drummer in that band). No pics though 'cos we were taking a break after all that standing.

And finally, at close to midnight came the last band, Hinder. they lived up to their awesome, awesome name. Sooo many people were singing along to their songs especially Lips of an angel.

and that was it. 10 bands, approximately 12 hrs and a whole load of memories.

I hope these bands appear in 2008:
The Killers
Panic! at the disco
Fall Out boy
Coldplay
U2
Bon Jovi
Alterbridge
Nickelback
The Smashing Pumpkins
Shinedown

or at least half of them.

it's been a crazy but fun week. been on course for half the day then rushing down to class for the rest of the day. it's good 'cos we get to apply whatever we've learnt from the course almost immediately on the children. i have to say it's been an amazing 2 days of course and i've learnt a whole load of stuff on behaviourial management which can uncannily be applied to people i meet in my day to day life. apart from that, i've also got the chance to mingle with fellow new teachers, there're a total of 9 of us and as you've already guessed, im the youngest. and in our midst we have Ex- engineers, bankers, immigration officers, reporters...how multifarious. but i have to say they're all very nice, helpful people =)
at this point in time there really isn't anything that gives me more joy than stepping into the arrival hall (of my school) and having 5 children running to come hug me and screaming "TEACHER REVVVV!!!" at the top of their lungs.
just for the crazy fun of it, the men i've been silently ooh-ing and ahh-ing over for pretty long.
